To ensure greener production and help to create a demand for recycled plastics, Taktila™ manufactures our tactile indicators from recycled PA rather than virgin plastic. For each kilogram of recycled plastic used, we estimate savings in raw materials and energy equivalent to 2 kg of crude oil.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) have been completed for Taktila’s products.
What is an EPD?
The International EPD® System is a global programme for environmental declarations. An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently verified and registered document that communicates transparent and comparable data and other relevant environmental information about the life-cycle environmental impact of a product.
